Kaka Stays at Milan Despite City Record-Breaking Bid
Newly crowned World Footballer of the Year, Kaka, decided on Monday to stay with the AC Milan despite Manchester United offering him a record-breaking contract. The news came following a full day of meetings between the two teams, Kaka's father and his chief adviser Bosco Leite to discuss a bid estimated at 100 million pounds (about 147 million U.S. dollars). Manchester United had reportedly been ready to offer Kaka a salary of nearly 500,000 pounds a week which would have made him the highest-paid football player in the world. The Brazilian player said on Monday that he choose with his heart, that the decision "was absolutely not economical".

Toilet to be Made along GZ's Metro Five
By the end of the year, Guangzhou Metro's line five will be put into operation, facilitating transport between the east and the west of the city. The first 24 metro stations have been built, including stops along Huangshi Lu. The new line will stretch over 32 kilometers, with ticket fees based on travel mileage. Toilets might also be added in some stations.

Cold Weather to Hit Guangdong Today and Tomorrow
A relatively weak cold front is expected to affect the south of China today and tomorrow. Most areas in Guangdong will experience a cloudy weather, with light drizzle scattered throughout the province and temperatures slightly dropping. In Guangzhou the weather is expected to be cloudy and foggy, with temperatures ranging between 14 to 22 degrees. On New Year's Eve, the weather in Guangzhou might get quite cold with temperatures around 5 degrees.
