Guangdong Finance Bureau to Spend 1.9 Billion Yuan on Boosting Foreign Trade Yesterday evening (Jan 19), the head of Guangdong's Department of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, Liang Yaowen, revealed that Guangdong's foreign trade goal for in 2009 is to reach at least a slight increase from the 2008 level. The Guangdong Provincial Finance Bureau will spend 1.9 billion Yuan to adjust the structure for exporting products and upgrade the trade in processed products.
New Year Food Prices Drop 10 to 20% Yesterday (Jan 19), a report from the Guangzhou price investigation center showed a 10 to 20% drop in prices for New Year food. New Year treats are usually candies, dried food and nuts and other traditional sweet Chinese pastries.
