Guangdong Governor Reviews 2008's Foreign Trade Guangdong Governor Huang Huahua reviewed Guangdong's foreign trade performances yesterday (Jan 19). According to Huang, the total value of Guangdong's import-exports in 2008 was of 683.3 billion US Dollars, up 7.8% from the previous year. Huang also laid out several economic measures for the new year : local enterprises will be pushed to further explore the global market, to improve the quality of their products, and to engage in more co-operations with overseas, Hongkong and Macau enterprises.
Huadu and Panyu Flower Markets Opens up Yesterday The Huadu and Panyu flower markets opened up yesterday (Jan 19). This year flower prices have generally dropped by 10 to 20%. The Tianhe, Huangpu, and Pailu flower markets are now being set-up and will open to the public on the 23rd of this month.
