The Four Plenary Session of the Tenth Guangdong CPC Committee Commences
The four plenary session of the tenth Guangdong CPC Committee commenced today(Jan. 5th). The meeting will have a review of 2008 and launch the work focuses for 2009, an effort to assure stable and sustainable development.

GD Generates More Tax Incomes in 2008
Although Guangdong's tax income growth is in a situation of growth deceleration amid the global financial crisis, the latest statistics show that Guangdong generated 771.5 billion yuan from the national and local taxation departments across the Province in 2008, with a rise of 76.8 billion yuan or an increase of 11% compared with the same period of 2007.

Guangzhou's Hazy Days Substantially Decreases in 2008
Guangdong Meteorological Center yesterday(Jan 4th)announced the evaluation on the weather conditions of year 2008, which indicates that the number of Guangzhou's hazy days substantially has decreased to as few as 108 days, the lowest since 2004. According to Wu Dui from Guangdong Meteorological Bureau, drop in the number is mainly due to the frequent visits of cold-front to the Province.
