2010 Asian Para Games Promotes Wheelchair Basketball

Additional Police Reinforcement from Nationwide Joins Asian Games Security Force
Additional police reinforcements and firefighters from across the country shall assist Guangzhou during the Asian Games. Currently, 70 officers are in Guangdong for a 2-day training before they can start working on different venues one month before and during the Asian Games. Earlier last month, 345 officers from Nanjing already joined the team.


2010 Asian Para Games Promotes Wheelchair Basketball
A wheelchair basketball game was held yesterday (7th) at the Guangzhou No.113 Middle School. It was a promotional game for the wheelchair basketball sports discipline during the 2010 Asian Para Games which will be held in December. Wheelchair basketball originated in the USA and came to China only a few years ago.



Chinese Team Leaves FIBA after Defeated by Lithunia
At the ongoing world basketball championship quarter-finals, the Chinese team last night lost to Lithunia 67-78, ending their stay in Turkey. Liu Wei scored 21 points helping the Chinese team lead for at least 15 minutes. However, the team's concentration started to weaken toward the 4th quarter and their destiny was doomed.
