Guangzhou Asian Games Town delivered for use
Guangzhou Asian Games Town, the largest venue project of Guangzhou Asian Game, has completed construction and delivered to Asian Games Organizing Committee for use today (August 31). The operation team of the complex formally entered the Town and a series of test events will be carried out here. Located in the south of Guangzhou, the site of the Asian Games Town covers an area of 2.73 Square kilometers. It consists of seven major parts, including the Athletes' Village, the Technical Officials' Village, the Media Village, the Main Media Center, the Logistics Area, the Gymnasium, and the Asian Games Park. The Town has direct and fast road network linking all the venue clusters and easy access to the Haipang Station of Metro Line 3. Its radial transportation system can ensure the athletes, Technical Officials and media representatives to reach most of the competition venues within 40 minutes.

Asian Games Town investment saves 3.7%
According to an auditing report submitted to the Guangzhou NPC standing committee yesterday (August 30), the investment in Asian Games town was 12.92 billion yuan, 3.7% less than the budget. In addition, the budget for the Game¡¯s opening and closing ceremonies will be cut 70 million yuan in accordance with the policy to host a economical game.

Volunteers gears up training on service for the disabled athletes
Friday (September 3) will mark the 100th day countdown to the 2010 Asian Para Games. Volunteers will strengthen special training on services to disabled person and skills to assist the disabled athletes in the competition.
