Messengers visiting Taiwan to introduce Guangzhou Asian Games
Today marks the opening of the Taiwan-Guangdong Week in Taiwan and this time the organizers are promoting tourism between Guangdong and the island. Yesterday a large group of tourists set out from Guangdong to Taiwan for the occasion and some of them are Asian Games messengers. They will obviously visit the island as well as promote the 16th Asian Games.
Asian Games to add RMB800 billion to local GDP
A lecture on new lifestyles in anticipation of the Asian Games was held recently. Liu Jiangnan, the Deputy Secretary General of GAGOC, called on all government employees to take advantage of the Asian Games to boost Guangzhou's international profile and pursue stronger socio-economic development for the benefit of the public. He also estimates that the Games will bring about RMB 800 billion to the city's GDP. The lecture was attended by over 1,200 government employees, also Party members.
Dongguan Students paints to welcome Asian Games
Recently, a group of university and elementary school students in Dongguan got together to paint their Asian Games. The theme was "Paint the colorful Guangzhou Asian Games" and their produced a 25-meter long painting.
