GAGOC Sets up Booths at Hanoi
The 3rd Asian Indoor Games opened in Hanoi, Vietnam recently. On this occasion, many organizations including GAGOC set up a booth for the occasion. The President of the Olympic Council of Asia, Mr. Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah visited GAGOC's booth saying the pictures of the Guangzhou Asian Games Stadium look "very beautiful". The President of the Incheon Asian Games Organizing Committee also visited the GAGOC booth to offer his wishes to next year's games.

15 Finalist for #2 Stage Asian Games Theme Song Competition Announced
The #2 stage of the 2010 Asian Games Theme Song took place on Saturday (Oct 31st). 15 songs have been selected to go onto the final phase of the contest which is to determine the official song for the Asian Games. These songs are more diversified in style and genre, including the modern "Come Together" and the old-Lingnan style "Guangzhou, the Beautiful City of Flowers". The collection of songs for this competition started in February this year.

"Luntou-Biology Island-GHEMC" Tunnel to Open Next June
The "Luntou ¨C Biology Island ¨C University City" Tunnel will open next June. During the upcoming Asian Games, this tunnel will connect northern and southern Guangzhou. The surface of the road is scheduled to be finished by the end of the first quarter next year. After trial runs, it should beginning service next June. By then, drivers shall be able to travel between Zhongshan Dadao and University City in approximately 20 minutes.
