Tests on Asian Games Weather Forecast Service Start Next Month
To ensure the precision and accuracy of weather forecasts during next year's Asian Games, the Guangdong Meteorological Bureau will start testing the Asian Games weather forecast service from the 12th to the 18th of November. During next year's Asian Games, ultra precise weather forecasts will be given every 6 minutes for every venue. Guangzhou, Shanwei, Dongguan and Foshan will be participating in next month's drill.

5 Kinds of Areas to Ban Smoking during Asian Games
During a recent press conference, GAGOC said that during next year's Asian Games, there will be 5 areas where smoking and selling or promoting tobacco will be strictly prohibited. These 5 areas are the Asian Games village, all Asian Games venues, designated Asian Games hospitals, all Asian Games vehicles and public service areas such as the media center and youth camp.

China Southern Airlines Spends 1.4Billion Yuan Purchasing Planes
Yesterday, during a press conference given by the municipal government, it was revealed that so far this year, China Southern Airlines has spent over 1.4 billion Yuan buying new planes from abroad, in order to meet the surge in the number of passengers expected during next year's Asian Games. This represents a 67% growth in expenditures on planes compared to 2008.
