GAGOC Names More Merchandise Franchises The Guangzhou Asian Games held a ceremony recently to announce the signature of agreements with a third group of franchises. 14 manufacturers and 9 retailers were granted licenses; bring the total amount of manufacturers to 37 and the number of retailers to 21. So far, for the 16th Asian Games there are over 1,500 types of franchised products, 36 franchised stores and an online shop.

Guangzhou to Renovate Buses before Asian Games The Guangzhou Communications Commission recently revealed that they will renovate a total of 4500 buses and purchase 800 new ones before the Asian Games begin. Currently, Guangzhou has a fleet of 9312 buses running on the city's 570 bus lines. The renovation project will cover up to 50% of them.

Guangzhou Kids Promote Asian Games in Portugal Four teenagers from Guangzhou have brought news of the Asian Games to Portugal. The children of currently attending a summer camp near Lisbon. They left China with a number of Asian Games posters, promotional films, picture albums and postcards. Eager to present their country and the event, the teenagers were given some time to introduce to the other children the Asian Games, which are unknown to many. They come from 14 countries from around the world, including Bulgaria, France, the Philippines, the United States, Israel and so on.
