Asian Games Venues: Construction Going Smoothly
Guangdong's Sports Bureau revealed yesterday (Aug 4th) that construction work on all Asian Games sports venues is going smoothly except for the one venue along the coast in Shanwei, currently affected by the typhoon. The Guangzhou Asian Games will be held not only in Guangzhou, but also in Foshan, Shanwei and Dongguan.

Campaign to Promote Good Manners Held in Yuexiu Park
A new campaign to prepare people for the Guangzhou Asian Games kicked off on Monday (Aug 3rd) in Yuexiu Park. This campaign aims a teaching citizens what not to do in public during the Games. The idea is to show the world a very clean and civilized city, where people no longer leave their rubbish on the street or spit to clean their throats. Organized by several organizations including Guangzhou's Women Union, a team consisting entirely of women will patrol different communities and parks every Sunday to promote good manners.

Asian Games Air-Hostesses Recruitment to be Held Sunday in GZ
A recruitment session for "Asian Games Air-hostesses" will be held this Sunday in Guangzhou's Grandview Plaza. According to Guangzhou Daily, China Southern Airlines will be recruiting 80 air-hostesses but so far the number of applicants has greatly exceeded 80.
