SZ Celebrates its 30th Anniversary
Shenzhen marked the 30th anniversary of the creation of the special economic zone yesterday (Sept 6th). Chinese President Hu Jintao spoke at a rally in Shenzhen and said that Shenzhen has made remarkable contributions to China¡¯s reform and opening up. He also said,
"The central government will continue to support the development of special economic zones as a first experimenter and a brave innovator."
Over the past three decades, the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone grew at a speed of nearly 26% in GDP year-on-year. Cai Xiaoming, a citizen told our reporter, he feels his life has improved. He said, he often uses the automatic library service and watches free concerts.
"The government keeps improving such public facilities for citizens. I hope the government will continue this tradition and allocate more fiscal revenue to this cause. "

GZ to Launch Second Drill over Asian Games Traffic Control
The 2nd test run of the vehicle limitations measures including the odd or even license plate restrictions will be held between this Saturday and next Tuesday in Guangzhou. Violators will be fined 200 yuan and 3 points will be deducted from their driving license. Different from the first drill, the test period will be shortened by3 hours, starting at 8am, and ending at 8pm.. Previously, officials had announced that other cities in the PRD would join in this test. However, at yesterday¡¯s press conference, the spokesman said other PRD cities would decide, by themselves, whether to participate in the test or not.
Chinese Pilots Found to Fake CV
Between 2008 and 2009, the employment histories of more than 200 Chinese commercial pilots were found to have been falsified, with 103 of them belonging to Shenzhen Airlines. The revelation follows an investigation last year by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).
