Governor: GD and Taiwan Work jointly in new industries
The Guangdong delegation touring Taiwan and led by Governor Huang Huahua yesterday (August 18) visited famous IT companies in Taiwan: Delta Electronics and Liteon Technologies. Both companies are currently investing in Guangdong, with the total investment volume exceeding 1 billion USD. Huang said Taiwan is a leading center in IT production, manufacturing and development, and he hopes both sides can work jointly to develop new industries, which is important for Guangdong's industrial structure upgrade.

Public Organization Adjust Working Time for Asian Games
Guangzhou has announced new proposals for regulating traffic during the upcoming Guangzhou Asian Games. The odd-or-even license plate number limitation shall be implemented from October 12th to December 21st, between 7 AM and 10 PM. The exclusive lanes for official Asian Games vehicles will be open between 6 AM and 11 PM. In addition, to ease pressure from the road network, party and government organizations, public associations and state-own companies will adjust their working time from between 8:30 in the morning to 5:30 PM to between 9 AM and 6 PM. This proposal is open for debate until August 30th.

Sex Culture Expo opens in October
The 8th China Sex Culture Expo will be held from October 29th and 31st in Guangzhou, at the Jinhan Exhibition Center. Every year, and not too surprisingly, i's the underwear display which attracts most of the attention, so this year, the organizers are actually bringing in Brazilian models to the delight of many Chinese men. The entrance fee remains at 30 yuan.
