Our journalist Chang Zhifeng has the report:
One of the members in the aid program is Mr. Chen Zhibiao from the Dongguan taxation bureau. He witnessed the disaster as it happened:
[record] when I arrived at the scene I saw the last mudslide. Water, earth and rocks all poured down from the river, very powerful. It reached the Mingjiang River within a very short time. I felt so upset to see the place we spent so much effort in rebuilding destroyed by flood waters.
He also spoke of the casualties caused by the disaster.
"record" all members of our work team are safe, however, some construction workers and technicians are missing.
